Spoken Word

Spoken Word movie review is just been what most loves to read on. Step on it now. Among the audience who were at the theaters for the opening of the Victor Nunez’s directorial venture Spoken Word most of them had been the fans of family drama who wanted nothing less than the emotional and psychological thrill from a family drama that capture some of the hidden truths and harsh realities in an family that any one would come across in their day to day life. The movie is a refreshing insight to the rules that govern the family bonds. Thus is also a vivid portrayal of the sensual reawakening of an individual which could be easily applicable and relatable to any person who has problems and hardships in accepting the truth.

Spoken Word is rich with a plot that canvasses the family life in its true face. Cruz Martinez is an artist living insane Francisco away from his original home in New Mexico where the life had not been bed of roses of him. He stays away from home as much as can in order to escape from challenges that rise there. However the news that his father has taken seriously ill makes him to go back and face with the ghosts of his past. Upon coming home he is thrust in to a violent world where poverty stricken people take part in drug dealing and other malefactions. He finds himself torn among them.

He also has to come up in terms with his dying father as well by restoring their strained relationship. The entire movie focuses on the manner in which Cruz handles all this. Kuno Becker steals the show as Cruz the young artist who practices escapism by immersing himself in art and is forced to face some of the bitter experiences on the way. The character is a challenging and demanding one which is with out flow portrayed by this artiste and he manages to get the attention of both the critics and the audience for it.
Rubén Blades alongside him extends his years of experience in acting as the father who does not find it easy to forgive his son.

One of the most notable things about the movie is the notion of lack luster movements that match the melancholic flow of the movie and with dark and slow motioning visuals the camera captures the nostalgia and the pain felt by the protagonist who is undergoing an emotional transformation. The cinematography is also a noteworthy quality in the movie which takes switches from one manner to another with a smooth transition. The angles used by the director are perfect in the sense that they brilliantly canvass the drama in the entire movie.

Spoken Word is a true to its word movie that is capable of winning accolades for its harsh but realistic plot which captures the tension and suspense in a psychological drama that promise unforgettable emotional backdrop to the audience making the movie an unforgettable experience. That quality will hopefully attract more audience as the movie gets the attention it deserves.
