The Retreat movie ahead with Cillian Murphy

Cillian Murphy will star opposite Thandie Newton in The Retreat the in production psychological suspense thriller by the director Carl Tibbetts. When the cast details were first announced earlier this year the role was to be played by Jason Isaacs and now he has been replaced by Cillian Murphy and it comes as no surprise especially with his successful recent project Inception.

Cillian Murphy and Thandie Newton star as husband and wife in The Retreat who arrives at a remote island for a vacation in order to make amends in their strained relationship. As the couple try to build their bond their time out it interrupted by the arrival of a militant stranger who claims that the mainland had been infected by a deadly virus. The trio is then thrown into face an unforeseen fate in the island which is far from the real world.

In The Retreat the role of the mysterious new arrival is to be played by David Tennant but it seems that the producer Gary Sinyor is still interested in and keen on Jason Isaacs to be among the crew saying that the actor perfectly fits to the description of the stranger.  Retreat will hit it off with filming soon with the expectation of a next year release.
